Since sometimes I’m working in Gnome, I’d like to have the load monitor similar to istat for Mac OS X.

Download latest version for OpenSolaris: osstat 0.3.3.

MilaX 0.5 released

Based on OpenSolaris snv128a.
JWM as WM, system monitor – conky, keyboard layout switcher – SCIM.
Now with fastest browser Midori – Twitter, Facebook and other sites is working well.
Fast start: boot LiveCD (LiveUSB), configure network (Menu ->Setup->Net Setup),
run zfsinstall (~pfexec zfsinstall), reboot and enjoy.
Two add-ons are available for this version:
DSS05_SVR4pkg.sh (SVR4 pkg system)
DSS05_IPSpkg.sh (Python2.4 + IPS pkg system)
How install:

(alex@milax)$ chmod +x DSS05_SVR4pkg.sh

MilaX SPARC WANBOOT

Bernd Schemmer has prepared MilaX Sparc 0.3.2 WANBOOT images (see Download page), one of them – the Extended MilaX WANBOOT image contains (in addition to the tools already included in MilaX):
* a VNC server
* the JWM window manager
* some additional useful scripts and binaries
* various tools from the Solaris Performance CD
* various tools from www.sunfreeware.com (putty, nmap, kermit, nedit, etc)
To start the VNC server use the script */remote/vnc_with_jwm.sh* after booting from the Extended MilaX WANBOOT image.

0.4 QEMU HD image

Bernd Schemmer has prepared a QEMU image for MilaX 0.4. The harddisk image contains MilaX installed on ZFS with small modifications for running in QEMU.
The image was tested with QEMU 0.10.2 and QEMU 0.10.5.

MilaX 0.4 released

Based on snv114.
JWM replaced with Fvwm with modified theme from Kamil Michalak: thumbnailing of minimized windows, fullscreen console (urxvt), system monitor – conky, simple conf editor menu -vim, bottom panel – wbar.
Removed fbxkb, added urxvt as basic terminal, pcmanfm, geany, tsclient, gvim, eboard (chess) with crafty engine.
Partitioning now supported in zfsinstall script.
